Are sites that claim they can provide you with a foreign driving licence (eg.losedl.com) a con?

Iv seen a couple of these sites now. They claim that for a fee they can provide a foreign driving licence without taking a test which you can exchange for a british licence. Has anyone used this service and did they get their licence or is it just a con to get your money?

The licence issued would probably be legal in the country of origin , but it may not be recognised the dvla

hmmm... actually, i've been trying them (losedl.com) now. i already paid the fees... and they were quick to answer my emails--- i think they should be alright...they say its 21 working days... i hope by the end of this month i'll have my licence... i'll keep you posted of what's going to happen...

Hi. I have the same question. There was one that was in Spain - but they were a scam.  I have applied (without payment) to that losedl one. Emailed them yesterday but not heard back yet. If they get back to me will list there answer.

do you mean an International Driving licence??  the one that allows you to legally drive abroad?  if so, my hubby got his from the R.A.C. (motoring people) - he went on their website...cost about 10-15 quid (can't remember exact cost).

haven't heard of the people you mention...but you can trust people like the R.A.C.  maybe look at their website?

Yes.

Look for official domain names, ie sitenamehere.gov.uk

These are registered and inspected to make sure nobody but an official government body can register.
