Are slugs edible? ?

They are related to snails. Snails are served in fancy French Restaurants as "Escargot". Why not slugs?

  1. why not, slugs are snails that don't have shells.  so i'm pretty sure there edible.  if you take the shell of a snail it becomes a slug.

Well yes they are but you don't want to eat them raw because they carry some rare kind of parasite that causes Meningitis.  Also I found out that banana slugs gnaw off their own p***s during mating to disengage.  Now do you want to go putting something that gnaws off it's own p***s to disengage from s*x in your mouth?  I tell you what?  I wouldn't do it.

    Don't know why they aren't served in any restaurants even French ones.

    I do know that slugs were eaten by early settlers. They were soaked in vinegar first then fried.
