Are laws and societal laws akin to an "ankle control bracelet" for mankind? How dangerous would we be without it?

  1. Not sure how this is R&S but the items mentioned do differentiate us from animals.

We also do others things though such as prepare our food, build structures, agriculture, form governments etc.

So we are quite different to animals.

  2. No...Societal laws and rules were established from moral values which I believe, are to a certain extent instinctive.

Homosapiens are different from animals. We can reason, We have theory of mind...hence the reason why we have the intelligence to make necessary laws and rules.....

  3. Probably, but there will always be someone strong enough to take control and establish rules. May not last long, but still..

  4. They say man is social animal and which is true to..We all are animal and we come from the same genre of Chimpanzee..but we are develop animal..Nature has given us the power to decide and that's why we have lay down some rules and regulation..It's out of choice..if you don't want to follow it than you are out of society..some rules are good some are bad we need to keep working on that...it would be very dangerous if we don't follow rules for eg..if  you get angry and you want to kill that guy and you don't have the fear of going to jail and punishment than you will definitely kill that guy..so to hold our instinct back we have created some rules and regulation..

  5. Well, since the people who actually believe in the doctrines have little control in how it is written, it goes to prove that the rules benefit the criminal and the innocent. The criminal would, therefore, have no means to manipulate the victim. In a way, the societal laws are an obvious form of mind-control. What is interesting, however, is that the rule-breakers often make certain to use these laws and rules to lord over their opponent. Interesting, indeed. Many people have no real interest in establishing laws, rather they hope to see them observed for their own protection. While the many of the lawmakers often exploit the weaknesses of those who choose to suffer the burden of the law. This is exactly why white cops give black drivers a hard time. They know that they have the power of authority, and they abuse it. And, unfortunately, in the end the black driver's first impression is to cry "Racism!", where it doesn't necessarily apply.

Yeah, so... I guess if we have no laws we are like animals. I just pity those who benefit monetarily from those laws... one wonders why there is no peace.... It's all about the Benjamins, baby!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. It would be hard to have ANY justice without them.

  7. What separates us from the animals is Smooth Jazz.

  8. Let's just say that the Earth would probably not be so populated if there weren't any laws to keep us in check.
