Are some Arabs hypocrites?

Question

When they are with other Arabs they mock and laugh at non-Arabs and talk about how great and superior Arabs are (did you know "Indian" is an insult to Arabs and they call black people "abd" which means slave). But if someone says something to them they say "bruzzer dont you know racism is haraaam bruzzer .. the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi waslaam) said a non-Arab isnt better than an Arab... bruzzer"

9:97 The Arabs are the worst in rejection and hypocrisy, and more likely not to know the limits of what God has sent down upon His messenger. God is Knower, Wise.

Allah has warned us about arabs,in this profound verse...

the verse doesnt say bedouins,it says ARABS..

Verily the most honored of you is the most righteous." I hope this clarifies that islam emphaises on equality and does not deny anyone thier rights...its just people being hypocrites and also take into consideration that pride is most disliked and anger therefore if they are proud and on their high horses we should be wise as to ignore their ignorance and control our anger, as a wise man is one who controls his anger.

Probably.  I think some people of every race are hypocrites.  Think about it, white people talk about blacks and hispanics, then they go out and get tans.  What is that all about? And blacks, hispanics, asians, and Indians can be just as bad.  But still, next time an Arab says something like that to you about other races, remind them that they're darker than a lot of blacks, hispanics, and Indians.  Whoever is saying that to you has an obvious problem.

There are hypocrites in every race. Personally, I've never met an Arab like that, and I'm Indian. I have many Middle Eastern friends, and all of them are very friendly. So don't worry about Arabs with that kind of attitude. There are whites, blacks, and hispanics with that kind of attitude too. Some whites think that they are superior and some blacks and hispanics never socialize with other races because of their history of being inferior. But not everyone is like that.

There are hypocrites in every race. Not just arab. I know your being the hypocrite by generalizing a whole race. Why did you have to say arabs? Couldn't you have said humans? Every race has hypocrites.

yes, some Arabs are hypocrites..

some Arabs are BIG hypocrites. i've also met some Westerners who are hypocrites, as well some Asians who are hypocrites.. haven't met that many africans or europeans so i couldn't tell you really if they have hypcorites too..

but i think it would be safe to assume so.. it seems to be a 'human' trait...

Well, you tried not to generalize and used the word "some" so my answer would be that there are hypocrites everywhere and that is not exclusive to Arabs;-)

Yes i admit hypocrisy lies everywhere you turn, but we should  ( i included ) concentrate more on being good Muslims, how to get to paradise and earn the rewards of Allah swt. This life of ours as you know is a test for everyone, whoever works rightiously in Allah's sight will get the promised reward and whoever does bad deeds will recieve Allah's punishment.

Think about this ( really in your heart ):

How much do you really love Allah swt?

How much do you really love the Prophet Peace and blessing be upon him?

All the actions and behaviour we display, will Allah swt appove?

Will Mohammad ( pbup ) approve?

You realize that when you generalize the 'Arab like that you are entering into a form of racism yourself correct?

Without doubt there are SOME racist Arabs, and they do NOT represent the majority. I noticed that amongst some brothers (even non Arabs) would say "Abd" to refer to a black American (they did not refer to the Africans as such) and I corrected them on this, and many of them didn't even realize it was racism, they only took it ignorantly from those they heard it from (like their parents). So not all of them are racist in their hearts, so you may hear them say 'Abd but it's not out of racism but out of ignorance. I remember growing up many people used to say "Zol" to the Sudanis as an INSULT even though it's a legitimate Sudani term, but that phased out and became as common as the usage "man" (because that's what it means). So these terms may be used out of ignorance and not racism.

However "Indian" is NOT a racist or insult to the Arabs. I've rarely heard any Arab use "Indian" or "Hindi" as an insult. They call the Indians and sub-continent people as "Sadeeq" (friend) usually.
