  1. I think in a way it is.  Think about it.  HOnda came out with the new Hydro car.  It's $600 a month for a lease.  Givernment wnats us to go green, well d**n!  Help make it affordable for people!  I think if going green was more affordable that the alternitive then more people would buy into it and help stop the global crisis.  The government is playing on peoples willingness to be sucked into fads, which is very unfortunate!

  2. ABSOLUTELY !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where I work, City of Los Angeles, There is the regular recycling program that everyone in the city uses  & there is a separate on for city facilities.  The regular recycling program also picksup at city facilities so there is a duplication of effort.  This means twice the number of truck trips to accomplish the same thing.  A waste of $, fuel and double the amount of pollution

  3. Definitely! I don't remember the exact numbers, but I read an article about how the US government is changing our all their light bulbs and lighting systems in the Capitol, White House, etc. And the money it will cost, will take 20 or 30 years to pay off because the annual savings are so low!

If that's not waste, I don't know what is! I'll look for the article.

  4. Most are do nothing, feel good policies that accomplish little and waste money.

A good example is cap and trade which England has had for several years. Because Englands steel industry cannot get under the cap they are unfortunately going to close down and move to Saudi Arabia. That will be great now England will have to get both it's oil and steel from the middle east!

If individuals want to live green that is great but goverment needs to stay out of it.
