  1. In my opinion, you can't be born a criminal but you can become one by your surroundings.

For example, the wrong kind of friend. if you made friends with drug dealers etc etc it is very likely if you hung out with th em too much taht you'd become one yourself.

But it also has thigns to do with your surroundings. If you have parents who just don't take care of you etc etc, it is mroe likely uoy'd end up as a criminal or somethiing like that...

Anyway, you never know, the guy may jsut gt some councling and top with the drug dealing, or he might end up in jail...

  2. he's not born that way. maybe he was raised that way or has a hard life. his parents didnt like him which was probably why he ran away and is how he is. i see him either in jail, running from the cops, or having a horrible life in 5 years

  3. His parents just arent involved enough in his life :(  no one has cared about the way hes living so why should he?

  4. Nature vs. Nurture? Is still a debate raging in scientific quarters.

    From my standpoint, its both...

  5. I see him holding up a flyover somewhere.

  6. saying he is a criminal by nature is like saying he doesn't have the capability to decide what he is doing for himself

I'm sure he knows what hes doing and does it on purpose because he wants the money

this sort of thing is definitely NOT down to instinct or any innate characteristics

  7. No one is born anything. It all comes down to experiences and environments that forms us.

  8. The question is a black and white question and the answer can only be gray.

A child is never labeled a sociopath or psychopath. Some kids with behavior problems simply have "problems" while others may be labeled with ODD or Conduct Disorder.

In turn as these kids become adults they may be labeled sociopath or psychopath. When the behavior continues into adulthood non-stop, one can expect such people to be career criminals. In other words, most of their lives are spent commiting crimes and in and out of the pennitentiary.

Still this child may indeed have a conscience, know right from wrong and simply acting out his pain and disappointment in life. Before assuming this is a bad kid, and chalking him off as no good, you may want to know more.  Some times good people do bad things.

At any rate his behavior sends a red flag. I woudn't trust him or have dealings with him. I wouldn't want him around my kids.

A person born a criminal is a psychopath. Their brain is not wired right. It can be seen with a high tech neurological xray test.  A sociopath is someone with early learned behavior and the brain will also show symptoms. These folks lack feeling responsible for their actions no matter what. Both seem guilt-free in their thought world. Each type share the common symptoms of seeming unable to feel empathy, compassion or virtues of common consideration for others. Actions demonstrating exceeding graciousness, only reflect ability to perform for self centered gain, be it financial, sexual or other goal.

Only a Psychiatrist or Psychologist can diagnose such a person. It takes skill and sometimes a team of doctors in various fields, such as neurology, to accurately diagnose psychopathy or sociopathy.

To date I don't believe either of these to be treatable. Its possible for other diagnosis to mimic symptoms of these two diagnosis, but treated with medication and psycchotherapy, may have an entirely different outcome. Its vital for other psychosis or disorders to be ruled out by a professional before these behaviors would be accurately named.

  9. Who can tell?

Children that have neglectful or abusive parents tend to have higher risk of developing criminal behavior.

Boys who don't have a father around, or who have a father who sets a poor example, seem to be especially high risk.

Some children, however, may develop that sort of behavior even though they have good parents. It's less likely, but it happens.

  10. How we grow up to be depends on what the environment is like. People who have alcoholic parents lets say, don't always turn out alcoholics. Nobody is born bad, they grow up in these terrible places and turn out this way. Something or someone could intervene and make him turn out okay. Time will tell.
