Yes.  There are several genetic, hormonal and other organic / physiological reasons.

This goes into the nature vs. nurture argument. At this point science hasn't found a conclusive answer. A person can be born with certain genetic and pathological components that would make them more inclined to become violent, but that doesn't mean they will. Often times, something has to trigger a person to become violent. But, like I said, science just hasn't found an answer yet, so we can't really know the truth until we do.

Violence seems to be a contingent strategy of humans. As with all human behavior, though, it is normally distributed. Some are way into the tail of this distribution and thus, more prone to violence.

yup. it could be genetic or brought about by past experiences, usually bad ones.
