It's about energy, but I've heard these theory also about the common cold and how they COULD find a cure but then millions if not billions would be lost in all those revenues.

There has to be a limited amount of truth to it all doesn't there?

  1. sure they are....Rudolph Diesel invented his engine back about a 100 yrs ago ...you cant tell me with all our technology, we cant replace it with something better

  2. Exactly how would they go about supressing this technology?  Anything that truly works and truly makes things better will be impossible to stop.

  3. Special interest supresses the voice of those our government is supposed to represent-we the people.

  4. I do believe that special interest groups do suppress certain technologies, but all fo these "Free Energy" scams are not the ones being suppressed.  In fact they are all over the internet and Big oil doesn't suppress them because they are not real.

Perpetual motion is a myth as it defies the laws of thermodynamics and conservation of energy.

On the other hand big oil has suppressed certain battery technology to hinder the progress of electric vehicles. I am sure there are other examples, but thats the only one I can think of.

  5. Yes.  The environmental lobby has been working hard to suppress many technologies that would improve our health and clean up the environment.  Some examples:

    1.  Greenpeace has been working to get genetic research banned.

    2.  PETA has been supporting terrorists who have been targeting medical research labs.

    3.  Many environmental groups have been impeding efforts to improve housing.

  6. I don't believe the conspiracy theories that say big oil is suppressing technologies to reduce oil use.  There is an ad on the net right now advertising a gizmo that lets your car run on water -- by using the battery to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen and then burn the hydrogen to run the car.  What nonsense!  That would be a perpetual motion machine.  Clearly the energy used to separate the water is greater than the amount of energy available from burning the produced hydrogen.

Special interest groups do, however, get governments to suppress technology that would hugely benefit mankind.

Genetically modified plants can produce much more food because they are modified to be disease resistant, drought tolerant  and contain more protein.   Yet some governments in response to petitions by ignorant people have banned the development and use of such plants.  Now with food prices skyrocketing, some governments are backing off a little.

Other ignorant politicians have successfully banned research using stem cells which would eventually enable doctors to grow new heart valves, new eye components, new liver tissue. kidneys, etc.   The research is still going on but US, UK and Canadian science is being hobbled by stupid regulations.
