Last week we was having problems with our combi boiler which is in the airing cupboard. It wasn't firing up at all. The engineer took it apart and assumed it was the white board (cant remember the name). We tried adjusting the thermostat but no joy. But we was giving it one last go and suddenly it fired up. The engineer hadn't done anything becasuse we were there talking to him as he was looking at it. It then went out again, he hadn't touched or noved anything.

After that he left the cover off over night and said to keep an eye on it. Later that nite it fired up again and from then the central heating was running non-stiop all nite. About an hour after the engineer went I saw 3 orbs in there. We already knew our house was haunted but we was realy surprised by this. The engineer returned the following evening to put the cover back on. The boiler was still running fine. When he serviced the boiler a month before he had the feeling that he was being watched but nobody was watching and

  1. Contrary to many beliefs in how spirits zap our energies, be it batteries or electronics.

When a being enters our dimension, it has been theorized that, it scatters all the atoms, protons & particles around our space of energy.

That is why you feel, cold spots, batteries die, lights blink, ect.

They are already energy beings, they do not need ours, as superstition would have you believe.

High velocity particles travel faster than the speed of light in a medium they create a blue flash. This is called Cerenkov Radiation

We are talking entering a different dimension, we do not have the technology yet, to say, a spirit can not break the speed of light, as we know it here and create orbs and other flashes of light.

If we look into quantum physics & connect the dots, we can find alot of theories into how & why. Science exist by funding, if they do not get funding for the paranormal field, does not mean it doesn't exist, the monies weren't there.

  2. That's the folkore, but unfortunately that's all it is. It's never been tested in a controlled (i.e., scientific way), and in fact it may never be possible to do such testing if spirits don't exist or if they don't decide to submit themselves for scientific testing.

As far as electronic go, or electrical-mechanical devices, they are multivariant systems at such a high level (i.e., they are very complex and many things can go wrong) that it's unnecessary to appeal to spirits to explain why such equipment can act unexpectedly.

  3. You see, a guarantee or warranty is a calculated guess about the average life of a given product. Neither of them is an accurate prediction of when any specific unit will fail. Most will outlast the warranty. Very few will fail right on time. Some are broken before you get them out of the box. What the important thing to recognize is.........................................

    APPLIANCE,,, GHOSTS,,, DO,,, NOT,,, EXIST.

  4. I don't know must about spirit but I watch a lot of shows and read about them sometimes. Yes they are know to cause things to stop working and then suddenly to work again and even to take everyday items and hide them or for them to just show up again a few days later. Good luck!

  5. I would assume so. Seems like "ghost hunters" always have devices that can detect EMFs (Electro-magnetic fields).  If, indeed, "spirits" are the manifestations of the life force left behind by us,  an electro-magnetic field would be a good bet for that life force.

  6. Yes I believe spirits draw energy from the electricity around them. However I do not believe your situation calls paranormal into suspicion. You haven't explained anything from the past that would lead me to believe that.

Heddalettuce had some very good ideas that could have very well been the problem. Sometimes mechanical failure doesn't always mean permanent failure. By taking apart the equipment he may have jarred something loose(blockage)

which allowed it to work again. Speculations of lasting mean nothing that is why they give warranties.

  7. Yes,most mechanical malfunctions are caused by spirits.General Electric has a special team of paranormal investigative engineers working on it.These spirits or gremlins as they're sometimes called.Cost consumers and corporations billions each year.

  8. You may just have a defective boiler in the home.

If the thing runs on propane fuel, kerosene, or any other fuel source, the lines or filters could be clogged causing the thing not to fire up.

It could be an electrical resistor that are causing the misfiring.

If you have hard water, it could very well be blockage from mineral deposits.

If might even be pressure regulators.

I'm skeptical because you are talking about a man made appliance.

I would contact the manufacturer and ask them for assistance from service techs that are more familiar with the boiler system.

  9. Yes, they can and do. Don't do anything stupid like call them out or a seance. You could end up with much more than you bargained for. If things get bad, consult a professional.
