I was looking to purchase a split level home, but I'm worried about it being damp downstairs, I understand that its not underground, but all of the bedrooms are downstairs, should I be worried about this? I've had tons of floods where im living now, so im just worried that something like that will happen in the new place, if anybody has ever lived in a split level, or just knows a little bit about this, please let me know.

Thanks.

  1. yes

  2. No, they're not any damper than any other house or a "high ranch" style of house.  As you said, te bottom level is not below ground.  Have lived in a split and the only thing I didn't like about it is all the stairs to get from this area to that area.  Other than that, which could be a nice feature for some people, it's a great house to live in and affords lots of living space.
