Are sports balls e.g Football, soccer, rugby etc, made of leather or a man made material?

You can buy them in man made or in leather. I think most of the game used balls in Pro sports (football, basketball) are leather.

man made except football. Ball that bounce made from synthetic rubber. Rugby panels made from pvc+synthetic rubber. Soccer, depends on brand.

Rugby is definately not leather anymore.  It got weighed down when it got wet so they wen't to alternative ones many many years ago.  I am pretty sure Soccer balls are not either.  

The NBA went to a synthetic ball last year but it didn't go down too well with the players and they reverted back to the leather ones mid-season... if you ask me, it was just some million dollar babies crying about the ball because they were playing badly!

The NFL uses leather I THINK.  Not 100% sure about that.
