Are sports bike lisence different from other less cc motor bikes in US?

I am planning to get my motorbike lisence this summer and buy some less cc bike as i am a beginner.

But later i want to change it to some higher cc, so do lisence change for different cc... or its same.

And how expensive is insurance, i am 25 yrs old...

  1. No.The US does not work like most other nations where there are restrictions on engine size (though there probably should be). You will either take your state test or, if your state allows it, you can take an AMA (American Motorcycle Association) course for your cert.

    Insurance will be based on your age, how long you have been riding, and what type/size/year or your bike; it's a lot like regular car insurance.

    I haven't checked in a while, but I think my insurance is around $60 a year.
