  1. The square club hits the ball on a straighter line, but will not help you launch it straighter. The square is easier to hit the straight ball, but not to work around the course. I bought the Tour Burner after owning the FTI for a year and wont go back. Ever.

  2. The square drivers are definitely straighter but I think it is just a fad.  In a few years they will probably stop selling them.

I would still rather the normal drivers.

  3. I heard the square drivers are hard to shape so I would say more a fade.

    Have a good one...

  4. It's all about confidence and if you look down at that square head behind the ball and you feel confident....good things will happen (hopefully)

I switched to the Nike SQ this spring and it's been the best driver I've ever owned, but I did get fitted for it, so in theory I'm getting the best results I can.

On paper, they are supposed to have a higher MOI #, which in laymans terms just means "more forgiving".

SO in one word....yes; they are easier to hit (for me) and fad....maybe. We'll see.

  5. i went to golfsmith the other day to try the new nike sasquatch.  while there i hit the new titleist and a taylormade.  at golfsmith they have a virtual range that tells you  your trajectory distance direction and roll.  the nike and titleist were square and the taylormade was normal.  i hit the taylormade consistently longer and straighter.  the other clubs were nice, but the normal clubs seem to be better or at least for me
