Are squash and raquetball the same thing?

  1. No not really while both sports are racket sports in which the players hit the ball off a wall and if ball bounces twice before opponet can hit it you win the point. That's where the similarities end. What make Squash so different from Racquetball is that the ball is very slow and this means that as the ball bounces slowly off the floor the players have to run faster to return it to the front wall.

    Since  Squash is a game of strategy it has been called playing chess with a racket. The players strike the ball alternately onto the courts front wall. They can do this directly or use the side and the rear walls creating subtle winning shots. Play starts with a service and continues until 1 player can't return the ball before it has bounced twice.

    Racquetball-  Ball moves fast all the walls and ceiling is in play . Look the walls play a big part of the game
