The ones that you stand up in instead of sitting. Are they scarier than the regular sitting down ones?

If you've been on one, please tell me what they're like!

  1. Theres this one ride in Great America, i forgot what it was called, but they have you stand up.

For me, myself, i think the one standing up is less scarier also because its has less of that pressure you get from when you drop.

But thats just unless that one roller coaster at Great America was just not hardcore enough.

  2. They aren't that scary. Sometimes you get so caught up in the roller coaster you forget you are standing up.

  3. its fun

  4. Don't know, but I live in Myrtle beach S.C and I want to ride the Led Zeppelin soooo bad!

  5. I don't think they are scarier I think it's just a different feeling while going through loops & down drops...one word of advise is before the seats lock in make sure you bend your knees a little to give yourself some room between you & the coaster seat (the seat is very much like a bicycle seat & you have the overhead harness like many coasters)

    Ones I've been on are

Georgia Scorcher - Six Flags over Ga

Riddler's Revenge - Six Flags Magic Mountain

  6. standing up is not that much more scary

but iits like twice the fun

  7. No, just give you worse headaches.

  8. I went on Vortex at Carowinds. It was a stand up one! They are way funnier than the other one!

  9. sdfs

  10. It depends, if your standing on the inside or out.

  11. They're not much scarier than the normal ones, they just feel kind of weird, and aren't that comfortable. I know a lot of people who love them, but I'm not one of them. I've only ridden The Mantis at Cedar Point twice, and it's a stand-up coaster.  Both times about halfway through the ride I began to see little black dots which kept getting worse and worse until everything went almost completely black for a few seconds. I know another friend who's completely blacked out in that ride as well, so just be careful! Make sure you don't lock your knees. When it happened to me i just closed my eyes and tried to relax and eventually my vision came completely back.

  12. no. not scary. love them! not really that different from the regular ones. i never really noticed a huge difference except that your feet are dangling
