  1. usually invisalign goes for about 5000 when normal barces go for about 4000

  2. Regular braces are much cheaper.  Invisalign can cost up to $10,000 in some parts of the country.  Also check out your local dental schools and see if they offer ortho.  They do just as good and it can cut your costs in half.

  3. Hey, i'm an aussie who yesterday just had their second orthodontist appointment about expanders and braces.

Invisalign treatment in Australia is more expensive then normal metal braces. (stainless steel brackets- cermaic 'clear' braces are more expensive). Depending on the treatment needed, Invisalign aren't for everyone. Infact, they're only for 'mild' problems, and for people without serious cross-bite issues.

For general braces treatment the cost in Australia (disgregarding the gap given by private health insurance if you have it) is for normal stainless steel bracket braces- between $4000-5000 AUS dollar.

For treatment with expanders (such as quad helix expanders or RPE exanders) and braces and then retainers- it comes all together for around about $9000 AUS dollar.

It's an expensive treatment, but that covers all appointments genrally. Obviously, in some places it will be more expensive, in particular surgeries/ orthos- you need to discuss with your gen. dentist about refferalls and then the orthodontist. With me, I'm  working out a payment plan for my 18 months of treatment.

I pay a little bit per month. (parents helping of course).
