Are standard length clubs right for me?

Question

buying a new set of Dunlaps and just wanted to make sure that standard length clubs will work. I'am almost 6ft, I am 5ft 11 3/4in. tall. I am guessing standards should work.

Why don't you consult with the best golf pro in your area for fitting clubs. Let him help you in determining the length, the stiffness of the shafts, the angle of the clubheads to the ground, the degrees of loft and how the clubs feel in your hands. You are going to keep them for a while, so what better thing can you do other than custom fitting for the manner in which you swing.

Hello. I am 6' exactly and standard fits me very well, however, some thing you have to consider for standard length clubs is how far your wrist is from the floor. Most club building sites(gigagolf.com, diamondtour.com, etc) have a club fitting calculator, and you could probably google a very good measurement guide and calculator to find out for sure. being fitted is very important and makes golf so much more enjoyable. So take the time to get a cloth tape measure(sewing tape) and do a quick measurement job.

P.S. there are very good deals on new or almost new clubs on sites like Ebay, be sure to check all the deals available. you could find alot better deals. hope this helps

If you are starting out, it is okay.  Once you get to a point where you have some consistency, it would be better to invest in custom-made clubs.

It doesn't matter how tall or short you are, it only matters if your arm length is in proportion to your height.  You could be tall or short, but if you have short arms you need longer clubs and vice versa.  If the merchant you are buying from can't fit you, then just measure from one finger tip to the other standing with your arms straight out to your sides.  If that distance is the same your height, then standard lenght clubs will be fine.
