I'm not saying that the ice subtracts calories, only that it takes up space where calories could have been. If you look at starbucks.com its 60 calories for a ICED latte whereas its 90 for a hot one.

  1. You know what is good though from Starbucks. Try their skinny caramel iced latte. It's great and not as fatting then the other coffee's they have.

  2. No, they're almost universally sold in larger containers specifically because of the fact that ice consumes space.  The reason that you see less calories for an iced latte is probably due to the fact that you are consuming less, despite the fact that it's in a larger container (again because of the ice.)  I've personally noticed their hot lattes tend to have foam (which makes them actually cappucinos.)

  3. Yes, they are less...it even says so in the nutrition guide.  And the people who said the cups are different sizes are wrong....they hold the same ounces (except for the Venti) they just look different b/c of the shape of the cup.  But we pour less milk into the iced drinks than the hot ones.  It's not a huge difference, but it will save you some calories.

  4. no...if you havent notice the 'iced' portions are bigger cups than the 'hot' portions so it evens out in the long run but ice does not subtract calories
