  1. I have observed that cricinfo have included the match between England and New Zeland as "No result".  So obviously statistics of the matches ended in No result will be considered for records.

  2. The rule is, stats are counted if the coin toss is made. Since the match was nearly completed, a toss was obviously made and thus the stats count.

I recall  the rained off January 2007 ODI between NZ and Sri Lanka at Hamilton was Billy Bowden's 100th ODI despite the fact that not a ball was bowled, but they tossed the coin. If my memory serves correct, Sanath Jayasuriya also reached a notable milestone on the same day.

They only toss the coin if there's a chance of play.

  3. Yes stats still count!!

If not there would be no point at all playing the match!! Imagine if you scored your maiden 100 in a big match and then the match ended up as a no result!! you would be gutted!

Proof- Here on cricinfo it has updated the career figures of Stuart Broad INCLUDING his 28-1 today.-http://stats.cricinfo.com/statsguru/engi...
