Are straight razors legal to pack in your luggage when flying?

I'm flying from Midway Airport to Seattle next week. I shave only with a straight razor and was wondering if it was legal to pack into my checked luggage- not my carry on. If anyone can help it would be great

  1. No, you can't take that on a plane. You can only take shaving razors... the disposable kind. You can check it in your luggage, but you can't take it on the plane. I've been through the airport so many times within the past 2 months it's routine for me.
