  1. For subarus, you have the equipment standardized in every car, while other manufacturer will ask you to add in as an optional equipment.

AWD, was technicially and originally designed by Subaru for the balance of the engine and power train, other manufacturer may have a similar 4 (four) wheel drive; but not as good as subaru.

Being little bias, other cars, you paying extra for their reputation instead of quality.  Yes, every subaru will break once in a while so do other cars as well.

The only thing that I don't like is drinking gas with around 26 miles per gallon...while other FWD cars can get around 32 mpg.

  2. The only brand that Subaru is not more reliable than is Lexus.

I have a 2006 Subaru Outback/Legacy. It is great.  It has 89,000 miles on it that have been 100% trouble FREE!!!  The car gets 32 mpg on the highway easily, and goes through 3 feet of snow without even slipping. it also has higher ground clearance which is helpful come winter, and spring floods.

i will never buy a car other than Subaru. i have driven many Subarus before, and none of them have ever left me unsatisfied.

  3. those cars you list are ont on the same quality level themselves.  accoding to consumer reports and JD powers teh list would look like this.

    toyota

    honda

    subaru

    ford/nissan (tie)

    chevy

    chrysler

subaru's are exceptional.  they rate higher than most other things in quality.  price will be a little elevated for class but adds AWD.

  4. i would say that subaru are good type of cars

but like any kind of car, most of it depends on how you keep up with the regular maintenance and how you drive it as well

there is such as thing of messing it up if you drive it like a Grandma all the time

and you can also mess it up by accelerating aggressively all the time

whatever kind of subaru or something that you are looking at, then type that kind of car into the Search engine and add the word "REVIEWS" and read what people have to say about it

  5. I think they are ugly (as does almost anyone who doesn't drive a WRX STI) but they do have all wheel drive which isn't something you find often on Nissans in the US much less the other brands you mentioned. They are reliable and are actually partnered with Toyota right now so in the near future they will have some joint developed vehicles out if the don't already.

  6. ever see a subaru on the side of the road? Nope

  7. I would have to say there good cars.
