Are subdomains more secure than domain names.?

If so why, im sure i have read this somewhere but cannot find it now. thanks.

  1. SubDomains are definitely NOT more secure.

    Two ways I look at this.  If I have the abilty to CRACK the Domain, the Subdomains will generally be mine.

    Additionally, I can look at some of the things sitting in the subdomains and use them to CRACK the domain.  

    Also, if you look at OWA being a subdomain "mail.x.com", you KNOW all the inherient vulnerabilities of an OWA exchange server.
