  1. The earth makes one complete rotation every 23 hours and 56 minutes. Doesn't matter if it is winter or summer.

  2. OK there is hardly ever exactly 24 hours in a day that is a guess each day of summer is longer till the solstice then the length of the day starts to decline the summer solstice has 15 hours of light the winter 15 hours of night

  3. niether.it means that in summer that the sun stays up longer.

  4. Neither one of them are longer or shorter.  I think people get confused, because during the summer the sun stays up longer than in the winter.  :-)

  5. Summer days are always longer because we have longer hours of daylights, but in the winter, the days are shorter because of our Earth's tilt (23 degrees tilt) and when it's wintertime, the Earth is closest to the sun! But during the summer, the Earth is farthest from the sun! Wow! That's why our daytimes in the summer is long because of our exposure (and tilt) to the sun.

But all the days are ALWAYS 24 hours, not a minute lost or gained.

  6. Longer the clock goes forward depending where u are!!1

  7. Summer days are longer.

  8. Nah! they are both 24 hours long... but summer days have more hours of daylight than winter ones, But then winter nights have more hours of darkness than summer ones.

PS: You don't have to educate her / Him / It.

  9. In summer, the sun rises earlier and sets later.  If your boss doesn't understand the effect of that, it's not your job to educate her.

  10. last I heard they were all the same 24 hours

  11. Summer days are longer, which is why it doesnt get dark until later. But each day the day gets shorter. Which is why we change the time. We start to lose daylight as the year goes on. So yes. Summer days are longer than wonter days.

  12. summer days are longer. daylight hours are longer in summer for the sun is above the horizon longer. but where the poles are it can be daylight even at night so im not from there so i dont know when that happens most places on earth summer days a longer

  13. they're longer

  14. Yesterday was the longest day of the year, about 15 hours of day light in the U.S.Dec 22 is about 12 hours daylight.
