Are swans a delicacy in Poland?

  1. Now I don't know about it being a delicacy in Poland, but I know that swan is eaten in several countries, despite the fact that they are protected by law.

    I've heard it to be very stringy with a "fishy" aftertaste, but apparently for the very rich that have nothing else to do and for the poor who have no money and simply go and "get" one, they end up in the oven.
