I'm going to Soak City at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. I was wondering if I am allowed to wear a cotton t-shirt on the water slides.

  1. yes t-shirts are allowed but they will slow you down a little

  2. I'm sure they let you...but SOME rides might tell you to take them off because they slow you down.

  3. this is an exact quote from their website: " Shirts are permitted on the slides but are discouraged since they may slow a guest’s progress down the slide."

remember, on more extreme slides, the shirt could create friction and ride up. making it very uncomfortable. also, anything that is too loose or has areas that could get caught on something can be dangerous. hope that information helps.

  4. Yes, it's not a problem, but as someone who worked at Soak City for two summers (hey, we all have to pay for college somehow), let me share something with you.  Whatever body issue you feel like you have, it's not that big a deal.  I saw thousands of guests in bathing suits--fat ones, skinny ones, oddly-shaped people, sunburned people, scarred people, people with skin diseases, people with burns and scars, tattooed people, stretch-marked people, hairy people and people whose bathing suits could have been much more modest.  The secret to looking good in your suit is confidence.  There were people who would cover up in huge T shirts, then get soaked and walk around in this droopy, huge shirt.  That does not look good!  Even those who were very overweight and wearing skimpy bikinis looked better than the T shirt crowd.

You are lucky, however.  Surfing suits are catching on everywhere.  Those are great for covering up, looking good and keeping the sun off of your skin.  I put them on my daughter to help with sunburn.  Even something like those Under Armour shirts that fit tightly would be much more practical.

I've literally seen thousands of people in their bathing suits, and the T shirt never hides what you're trying to hide.  Never ever.  Just hold your head up, pretend you're confident about your body and have a good time!  Really.
