  1. Tadpoles live in ponds. A pond is freshwater. So yes a tadpoles is a freshwater animal.

  2. Yes

  3. No you do not have pet tadpoles.  If you took them from the wild, they belong back where you got them.  No wild animal is your pet.

How can they be anything but freshwater?  Do you live near an intercoastal area?  There are not any amphibia that are adapted to marine water in North America.  The introduced Cuban tree frog has some tolerance to brackish water.

  4. Yes,  I used to catch them.  They will turn into frogs.

  5. yes, it's fresh water.  I have tadpoles in the pond in my backyard.  I live in Michigan, so no saltwater here!
