  1. that might be true but im short with big hands and im shooting is okay ... now what... ????sports science????

  2. Yes indeed, and thats what the coaches at my school tell us for basketball. Black people tend to have the advantage. They are lankier, and stronger than any other people. This is what you would call natural talent, and they use this as an advantage. They also have bigger hands which makes it by far easier to control the basketball! of course they have to practice also, but african americans can control and pass the ball with more ease. This is why they can dribble better. My coach would make the   us practice(school with no african american players) with the weight balls. We would practice passing it around back and forth so that by the time we passed with a regualar basketball it would feel lighter!!!.This is why people of other race must practice twice as hard. That includes hitting the weight room, increasing our hops, and increasing our speed, not to mention shot. Unfortunetely for me, i was never able to make it to the level of basketball that i wanted to in that school, due to the tough competition. But indeed, african americans have the advantage.

  3. yea.. usually

  4. Just look at Shaq......................then look at someone like Allen Iverson, does that answer your question!!

  5. no that is not true. sometimes even little migits can shoot better. just cause big guy's with big hands doesn't mean that they shoot higher, better it just means that they were probably born like that for the future. it could also mean that theyv'e worked out.

  6. Bigger hands are worst for shooting. Think about it.

What happens when you try to shoot a tennis ball or softball? It's usually off by a lot and harder. You need big enough hands to get a good grip, but not so big as it will be uncomfortable.

  7. No.

  8. Players with small hands only have a problem shooting if their hands are too small to actually hold the ball right.

  9. Not all of them. I don't think it really has to do with their height or handsize, it's more their touch when they shoot it. I mean Shaq has huge hands but is deplorable at shooting anywhere outside the paint.

  10. Ok, try shooting a tennis ball compared to like a volleyball.

Smaller hands are better than big hands, but a medium is best

    ****...someone took my analogy
