  1. Not hard to use at all, as with lots of things, it just takes patience and practice! Once you get the hang of it though they are wonderful.

Slenders or juniors are the best for beginners. They are only about as big around as your pinky. You will want to practice inserting them when your flow is heaviest, or dab some lubricant on the tip. This will make it easier to get them in place and get them far enough in. Take a deep breath and RELAX your vaginal muscles. If you are tense your muscles will tense as well and it will make insertion difficult or impossible, and will make it hurt (I can't stress enough how important that part is!) . Once you get the tip inserted, aim towards your lower back to follow the natural curve of your v****a. Gently push and twist until your fingers touch your body. Hold the applicator steady and push the "plunger". Remove applicator. If properly inserted you will not feel it. For tampon removal: Relax again and pull slightly forwards. Do not try to remove the tampon too soon or it will be dry and uncomfortable. I taught my now 16 year old daughter how to use tampons from her very first period at age 11, and she had no problems using these tips. Good luck!

When the tampon is properly inserted you should not be able to feel it at all. You may notice something a little "different", but it should not be uncomfortable at all.
