  1. I say no.  I have tattoos and I love them.  I never want to have them removed. I have to say that I have never noticed a stigma that women are treated harsh because of tattoo's and men are not.  Maybe a larger number of women thou rush into tattoo's that they are unsure of.

  2. I don't think so.  Tattoos can be cute and feminine, depending on what you get.

I personally like smaller and delicate tattoos on women.

  3. Here is a disgusting tatoo, but funny at the same time

  4. hm, that's strange. seriously though, getting a tattoo removed because of 'problems with clothes' or for a birthday? how lame can you get.

men and women have been getting tattoos for thousands of years. i certainly don't see it as a 'masculine' thing. i've had nothing but compliments for mine, even from older relatives.

  5. oh my yes of course..

Just look at how " masculine" this lady look

This is Shoko Tendo.  At the time of these pictures..she was 39 years old. The reason she is so heavily tattooed is because she was/ is the daughter of someone in the Yakuza ( japanese mafia basically) Members of the Yakuza are always heavily tattooed from what I have seen.

Her tattooes also go down to her feet.

but despite her tattooes..she looks very much like a woman..even feminine.

personally i think her tattooes are gorgeous...her tattooes though were probably gotten over most of her lifetime.

  6. No I don't think so.

I have 3 but they're all in place that you only see them if I want you to.  There are times (for women AND men...job interviews etc) that you don't necessarily want to be perceived as a "tattoo person" and so you just put them where they can be hidden if need be.

  7. no, my tattoos are very feminine. they also take on very "mature" subjects. for instance, the one on my arm is three flowers. each flower is the birth month flower of myself, my son and my partner. all of my art has meaning to me since i designed them myself. i also think about it for a bit before i get it; i don't regret any of them.

also, i don't find my tattoos "revolting". however, i do find close-minded people quite annoying.

  8. Not at all. Women can have them and they look just as attractive. It depends on the tattoo to a certain extent I guess and historically I guess they are associated with men in the navy etc but in this day and age they are apparent in both genders equally.

  9. No. To me tattoos are more of an immature thing. It seem people get them to say, "Look at me I have a tattoo." ---Boring

  10. Hiya Lemur,

I think you could call tattoos an embelishment. If you get a a very masculine guy a tattoo can make him look more so. Likewise, a feminine girl's tattoo enhances her femininity.

There are double standards as ever. On an unattractive woman the tattoo is a negative reflection of her looks. On a pretty/s**y woman the tattoo is a positive reflection of her looks!

As a man I can't speak for women but, us guys do use double standards. The article you linked tells me that women do to!

  11. No, especially brightly coloured and beautifully shaped tattoos.

  12. Personally I have always appreciated them more on women.

  13. I have 7 tattoos and a uterus.

I think it's an "eye of the beholder" thing.

  14. A lot of women nowadays seem to have them, but personally I think they look revolting on either s*x.

  15. not nessesarily
