Are taxes going to increase?

Regardless if McCain or Obama wins in November, do you see the next administration increasing taxes?

Unless we adopt a Flat Tax or the Fair Tax, I'd have to say yes.

Obama definetly will increase taxes, but not to the extremely rich, mainly because those people earn money off investments and existing businesses. Plus there are always loopholes created for the very rich because they donate to the politicians. He will increase taxes on the middle class to the point where there will not be a middle class in existence. And the funny part is that with the taxes he is suggesting there will not be a point to continue with an education, work overtime, or anything because any money you get will be so taxed that it's not worth it to work that hard anymore, the money will go to people who don't work hard and haven't increased their skills, because that is "fair".

However I do feel that if McCain is president that taxes will decrease. The simple fact of the matter is that McCain has shown that he understand that from an economic stantpoint, if you decrease taxes, you decrease business cost and increase the amount of money consumers can spend. All of which increase the economy, and McCain realizes that. It would be absolute stupidity to increase taxes, especially right now. But thats Obama for you. Obama has promised to increase taxes, which will decrease taxes. Or McCain who may increase taxes, but has also said we will decrease taxes. So I'm voting for a possibility of less taxes, rather than the Gaurantee of More taxes. Whats the point of being in America if we can't keep the money we earn? I'll help out the poor to a certain point, but I'm not rich, and I had to pay to go to college, spent years there, why should a large amount of my money be given to those who havn't worked hard like me, but they could if they wanted to.

Well. I can't find the d**n link right now but, McCain will not raise ANY taxes. Obama will raise taxes. The first responder to your query is stupid, just because someone is more successful doesn't mean they deserve to lose more of the money they earned.

If they were smart they would.  Obama will raise them on the people who have ridiculous amounts money and cut them for people who don't.  John McCain will give relief to people who do not need it.

IF B' HUSSEIN OBAMA IS ELECTED PRESIDENT HE WILL RAISE TAXES ACROSS THE BOARD. HE IS IN FAVOR OF REPEALING ALL OF THE BUSH TAX CUTS. I DON'T THINK JOHN MCCAIN WILL

Only if Obama is elected; then every RICH person will pay lots more in taxes so the poor are given tons of new benefits like free health insurance.  Rich people are those mean horrible people with jobs.

If Obama wins, taxes will go through the roof. If McCain wins he will lower taxes for EVERYONE. Not just the rich.

As of right now: McCain does not plan to raise anyone's taxes and Obama plans to raise everyone's taxes..
