Take two students, one male, the other female. Which one is the teacher more partial to? Does the teacher's gender play a role in determining who and why they're more partial to?

  1. I'm not sure, but looking back, I remember it was almost always a girl who was a teacher's pet or one of the favorites, and troublemakers were usually boys.

  2. I took a "Psychology of Women" course in college, and I remember one study we discussed at length was one that showed that boys are called on more in class than girls are.  This is especially true in math & science courses.  However, I'm of the opinion that as time goes on, this is becoming less true.  Girls seem to be doing quite well to me!

  3. It depends on the teacher.  I have never noticed a teacher being more partial to one gender rather than the other.  I remember a professor in college said the girls would get extra credit if they gave him "hugs", but that didn't count for the guys.  He was a screwed up person.

  4. My Grade 4 teacher was a radical old feminist(i cleaned it up a bit for Y!A).

She once yelled at me and another boy for 15 solid minutes, all because our desks were unclean, 9 year old fcking boys had untidy desks and were criminals.

On the flip side, one girl actually stabbed me in the back with a pencil, i was bleeding all over my back. She didn't give one flying c**p.

Cool thing was they fired her over her refusal to punish the girl.

But keep in mind this is just one old fcker teacher. She didn't represent any kind of majority. The rest of my teachers at that school were wonderful.

  5. No, not where I live at least. I go to a good school, so this stuff really does not happen. Teachers may occasionally say something stereotypical, especially my biz teacher, but other than that it's all good. I do know one thing though, Carnivale is either a troll or an idiot.

  6. That makes as much sense as asking "are dentists, morticians, and McDonald's counter staff more partial to one gender over the other?"

  7. I was a teacher's pet, and it didn't seem to matter whether the teacher was male or female.

I was just one of those tiny, cute, smart but naive, mature but not obnoxiously grown-up kids that adults really love.

  8. I THINK IN HIGH SCHOOL, MAYBE!! but once in college then no, there is no favoritism (at least none that i have seen)

  9. i don't think it is as much gender as who is in what clique. in college, athletes seem to get the special treatment. high school there were always teachers' pets and i see some of them still and they are no better off than i am.  things in the past do not always matter.

  10. I think it does, even though you'll get 23432432 people telling you it doesn't lol. There are soo many examples of it too.

  11. Since the 90's, teachers have favored girls and reject the males in the classroom.

They offer special assistance to females but not males, even our education system is plagued with Feminism. Most teachers teach because they cannot do, most teachers are Women.......

Most Women are Feminists, Feminists want Women to dominate the World.

They are teaching these concepts to girls in schools from a very young age. They have secretly replaced Homec classes with Feminism......

    Education is a conspiracy.

    Carnivale - lol!
