Are tests still good after the expiration date?

I have some tests that expired in April. Today is August 16, and I was wondering if the hpt's would still be good even after the expiration date.

They are ClearBlue Digital if it makes any difference. No rude comments, please.

It may still give you a correct answer, but they do put dates on for a reason so it would not give you a clear answer.

I wouldn't trust a test that has expired.  They put the expiration on there for a reason, so it must go bad somehow.
