Are the 100% Orange Juice sold in Tesco,M&S, etc really pure orange with no other ingredient?

  1. I don't have those stores nearby but there should be a list of ingredients if there's more than one.  It might say "from concentrate", which means water was removed at one point and then reinstated, but that's mainly it.

    Unless it says "juice drink" or something, it's probably pure OJ.  It could be awful OJ, but OJ nonetheless.

  3. It would be illegal for them to write that on the bottle and it not be true, and the UK controls this kind of thing quite well, so if it says so on the bottle, I believe that's what's in the bottle.

    If it says "made from concerntrate", then it's not 100% pure.

    Many supermarkets use their own oranges that are going to go off in the next day to make orange juice that they can then sell.  Even though a customer is unlikely to want to buy an orange that's a funny shape or that has a blemish on the skin, it still makes perfectly fine orange juice, so I've heard (but haven't had it confirmed) that supermarkets use their own oranges to make fresh orange juice to sell each day.
