Are the 2008-2009 Georgia Bulldogs overrated?

Question

Georgia is great team and all and will start off No. 1 ranked. But with everything that's happened and with them having like only 1 NC title, does someone else deserve that No. 1 spot over Georgia.

I wouldn't say overrated, I just wonder what has warranted them being ranked number 1 over Ohio St, USC, Oklahoma or even Florida.  They have had a ton of off field issues and you have to wonder if their heads are in the right places. They have a four game stretch at LSU, at Florida, at Kentucky and at Auburn.  Plus they open the SEC at S. Carolina and play Alabama at home.  Not a favorable schedule. I would be shocked if they had less than 2 losses. However if you look at the Buckeyes and Trojans you can make a good case that the loser of their game in September is not going to lose another game.

Maybe but Georgia is going to to be a good team this year but I don't know about number 1 and being in the SEC that makes it almost impossible to go through the season undefeated

If I was a betting man I would put my money on Oklahoma or Ohio State

lets get real at this point the only team that isn't overrated is whoever is ranked last. the pre-season pulls don't mean anything. nobody has proven they are no.1

Georgia isnt an overrated program, its just they are cursed with a schedule that not even an NFL team couldnt get bye without a loss

these days.

People are going to laugh when I say this but Im telling you that because of the Fact that the SEC and the Big 12 conferences have such great parity it makes it even more easier for teams such as

Ohio St, West Virginia, and USC to make it to the national championship. All three of these teams have only one team on schedule they need to worry about outside of their conference and only one team in their conference to give them any concern. Because I

feel the USC will beat Ohio St and only because its a home game for the Trojans this team will run the tables in conference play. Ohio St not only loses to the Trojans but get their annual Big 10 loss again.

WVU like Ohio St and USC have legit shots for unbeaten year but

will falter only once.

I see a WVU against USC match up for the NC game this year..
