Question:

Are the Angel's just phenominal, or is the Red Sox pitching falling apart?

Seriously, this is unlike anything I remember this year. Every game the Angels are scoring, scoring, and scoring some more. We're getting on the board too. We just keep leaving men on base, but the Angels seem to always get that nice home run to clear the bases right before the inning ends. We've made 4 errors today though. We gave up 13 runs to the Yankees last weekend over the whole series, which is bad enough for the Red Sox, and we gave up 13 runs to the Angels in just the first 2 games, nevermind 8 more runs tonight! h**l, it's only the 6th inning, who knows what they'll do with 3 more innings against our so-so bullpen. What's up with our pitching staff? Are they finally burning out?

  1. Errors kill man. Pitching wasnt bad. Beckett just had a bad day. But this just shows how much errors can kill a team.

  2. A bit of both. What was that fiasco in shallow center in the 6th? That was just sad.......I had to laugh though.

  3. Boston's pitching is sucking, but the Angels hitting is coming around. The Angels were the best team in the first half with great pitching and mediocre hitting. They are still the best team with great pitching, except now the hitting is coming around as well.

  4. Jeez!, they sure seem to mean business this year and they are continuing to improve!!! I guess the proof will become evident in OCT.  no team is considered 'Phenominal' until they start winning in that particular month. I'm as stunned as you are tho!!!

  5. The Angels are good.  The Red Sox should not be this bad.  Maybe it is Manny as a clubhouse cancer.  He wants out so that he can be a free agent next year.  The Red Sox are playing like they are 25 games under .500.

  6. The Red Sox aren't playing so hot since the All Star Break and I gotta believe the Angels are pumped with being so far in 1st and getting the best batter on the market if Jason Bay doesn't get traded. The regular season's never been the problem with the Angels though. Come October we'll see who the  realCalifornia/Los Angeles/Anaheim Angels of Albuquerque really are.

  7. The Angels are the complete package. The Red Sox are not. The Red Sox are about to lose their best hitter and have no backup plan that we know of?! The Angels are moving forward while the Red Sox are moving backwards. The Angels have made it perfectly clear that they are serious about winning by signing Teixiera and Torii Hunter and have the best pitching staff in the league. This is an appetizer to them and the main course  is winning the World Series. Just one man's professional opinion.

  8. Angels are just too d**n good.

The Yankees are gonna play the Angels in a 4-game series starting tomorrow =/.

but the bullpen for the sox is a problem too, but its mainly the angels' offense.

  9. The Angels are a very good team. They still have a knack for finding a way to choke in the playoffs though. But this year's angels may be different.

Currently, it seems that manny is the source of the red sox problems. I say let him go and take it from there.

Red sox pitching has been ok, not super dominant like it was last year, i'm starting to think that maybe clay shouldn't be in the starting rotation

  10. The Angels are a strong team. May be in the WS this year.

  11. The Angels are a potential World Series team. They always seem to perform well against the Sox. It happens on occasion with other teams. For example, the Royals seem to play well against the Tigers.

  12. Red Sox falling due to Manny. Hard to believe that Jon Lester is currently their best pitcher...

  13. Well, I'm not going to lie--> The Angel's are just phenominal.

However, Manny's drama is also definately affecting the club; in a bad way.

I want him out. He better be traded tomorrow or I am going to be very upset. People say that The Red Sox need him to win, however I disagree. His drama is now causing The Sox to lose, and thats just not right. He needs to leave.

I love how on NESN they just had Manny statistics up and it said "Manny's career with the Red Sox"

It sounds like he's already gone...
