Are the Annunaki Aliens that came in contact with Sumerians real?

I saw many youtube videos about aliens who came into contact with ancient peoples and helped them advance. Is this true? Did they genetically create us? And is there really a planet X or Niberu?

There is substantial evidence which raises the question for debate.  However you won't find much knowledge about these kinds of events in history text or taught in school.  But don't confuse this with Scientology.  They're two seperate theories.

Your best source is PBS watching Nova.  I think I've seen 2 documentaries on the subject of alien contact influencing historical human development.

If you look at old inscriptions, Earth is counted as the 7th planet while the sun is the 11th major object in our solar system (meaning those civilizations counted from another source down, not the Sun up).  Also there are glyphs of saucer shaped objects and helicoptors.  When the glyphs are read, they describe [objects] flying through the air.

And you'll always be called a crack pot for asking about it.  Talking flaming bushes is acceptable.  Advanced life speeding up our development is not.
