I get that funny feeling that all the BBC are trying to do is brainwash people into being narrow minded and only seeing one part of the war in Afghan & Iraq.

Ok I don't have a good opinion on the Taliban, but thats not because I watch the BBC news simply because I don't.

I believe that the BBC will only tell you what you want to hear, I feel that they either don't know or are too stubborn to tell the whole story.

Watch Al Jazeera if you've got that channel, they'll show you the Taliban side of the war, how they get on with their lives and their attitude towards the war itself. All the Beeb will show you is "another Brit dies again."

Honestly watch Al Jazeera, I think you'll get some better info on the Taliban so then you can make a clear judgement rather than a blind judgement which probably the whole nation does!

I support the British troops in this war, I'm British!

Your thoughts on Al Jazeera and the BBC, not me please!

  1. Every side has propaganda, of course.

We are fortunate enough to be able to see both sides through the NET.

This religious nonsense will end the human race, through Nuclear bombs one day

But at least nature can start again and hopefully make a better species than we have become

  2. I've watched Al-Jazeera before, and yes, I found it very interesting.

But, having said that, I have no desire to hear the Taliban's "side of the story", in the sense that I have no sympathy for the Taliban, whatsoever.

  3. I watched Al-Jazeera. It never once mentioned the British side of the story. I remember the taliban shooting women in the head inside a football stadium. There was no denying it they shot her & many others like her because thier beliefs were different.  That was not brain washing it was reported via numerous different news channels. The BBC is not great. But Al-Jazeera is an extremely biased news channel if even I saw one.

  4. All the media, (everywhere, especially the US) wants us to see and hear the worst of the war.  They don't dwell on the soldiers (and this includes high ranking officers) that are trying to get us to support the war effort and telling us that things are actually getting better over there.  The media down plays all of the good things.  Especially now that it is election time.  I watch the BBC (I live in the US) to hear what else is going on in my country because all our news stations have on is about Obama, his mama, and the election.  I support all of the US troops  AND our allied troops in this war.
