According to Wikipedia's listing on the potential United Football League that is to kick off in the fall with a Friday night schedule...there is a little rumor suggesting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are looking to join. Can anyone confirm or deny this rumor?

  1. Not a hope in heck.  The CFL does not own or operate any of the teams, by the way, for those who answered the CFL owns all the teams.   The Bombers are a community-owned team.  And I see no such mention in the Wikipedia article.

  2. legally they cant jump to another league. they are property of the cfl.

  3. Who started that rumour?  Shows how reliable Wikipedia is...

  4. Get Real, the Bombers are the heart and soul of the Cfl..........the Cfl can live without toronto or b.c., but once you take edmonton, Sask or Winnipeg out of the Cfl, this league is dead.

    that rumor is rediculous.

  5. All eight teams of the CFL are the property of the league itself so it would not be possible for the Bombers to jump to the UFL.

Edit: Your right Fred C. The Bombers, Stamps, Riders are all community-owned teams. Also it was on the Wikipedia just that someone edited and deleted that. Here is the proof http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?titl...

Edit: Yes Ryan Friesen that rumor is stupid. Not gonna happen.
