  1. They Will Never Win (Fact)

  2. The psychological advantage in a war is always with the guys "defending" their homeland. Unless you decimate the lot, they always win.

  3. Firstly, the Mujahadeen only defeated the Russians with 100's of millions of dollars worth of weapons and support.  Secondly, the coalition forces have no interest in "occupying" Afganistan.

Thirdly, the "war" is over, it is now a policing and training mission.

What are we going to do when 100's of thousands of Afganies are being persecuted, raped, starved and murdered, when through violent retribution take back control of the country.  I'll tell you, you same people are going to say what a shame it is, send aid money that they will never recieve, moan and complain about why nobody is doing anything, of course pointing the finger at the US because they are the world police.  Meanwhile the Taliban will reconsolidate themselves in power making deals with other fanatic states, trading weapons and technology, then one day, in the not to distant future, a ship will pull in to port or a lorri will pass through the channel tunnel with a dirty bomb encased in lead, and while they are dancing in the streets praising Allah, London will be a radioactive catastrophe with thousands dying from radiation sickness everyday.  Oh the papers will be full of the horrific photos of skin melting off babies, and children bleeding from every orfice laying hospital beds.  Meanwhile you'll all be wondering if you loved ones are ok, and saying why didn't we do something earlier.

I may not agree 100% with the action in Iraq, but Afganistan is totally worth the cause, the Taliban are sick demented archaic homophobic psycopathic fanatics.  Iran is not far behind in their ideologies, you know they are having a mass execution of 30 people on Monday, for murder rape and immoral relationships.  Murder and rape I could live with, but immoral relationships!!

Brown and Bush may be idiots, but at least thay are not defeatists like you lot.

  4. I think you'll find that all nations fighting in that part of the world are on to a no winner.

  5. unfortunately yes , increasing the ppl in power dont look back in history , to me anyway, history seems to repeating again n again.....the Russians lost to the mujahadeen , you think the UK can win any sort of battle there? i think not

more body bags im afraid! time to leave afghanistan and stop trying to protect an american puppet in power (of just a "green zone")  .....

  6. you people need to get your facts straight British and US are not fighting the Afghanistan people in fact British and US are training the Afghan police and army to fight the Taliban the Afghan people are proud to be able to help rid their country of this evil so to answer your question yes they will win

  7. No-one wins in Afghanistan. The Russians didn't. We won't.

  8. Yes they are, they just don't have the resources to fight a long lasting campagin.

  9. Yes, unfortunately

  10. How long would the British fight if the UK  was invaded by Afghanistan?

  11. You're right.

There can never be a 'winner' in a so-called 'war' like this one.

Not only are British military deaths unavoidable - but the conflict is costing Britain billions of pounds a year.

Perhaps it's time we pulled out and let the Afghans sort their own problems out !

  12. Two things are to be remembered about Afghanistan and its people:

1] they are at peace only when they are at war.

2] it is easy to enter into Kabul, but difficult to get out

The rulers from Chengiz Khan to Babur learnt that it is better to run through and leave Afghanistan alone

  13. unless they start negotiating with the Taliban & agree with " a live & let live arrangement " I can't see any form of peace happening soon.

history has shown Afghanistan is soaked in blood for the indigenous people & invaders in equal measure.

The French tried back in the 18 century, to secure a safe passage thru Afghanistan with no luck.

The Russians tired from the 1960s onward to battle unsettled & unhappy Muslim element from Chechnya thru all the " Stans " with more loses than wins. Many of our lads over there are falling victim to abandoned land-mines left by the Russians.

Fighting is something Afghanistan knows only too well.

Arabs by their very nature cross the floor to the Winning-side so often in the end no-one knows who to trust.

& the terrorist that dies for the Taliban today is replaced by 2 new ones crossing the porous border with Pakistan.

terrorists supported & sadly ( should be ashamed of themselves)  trained in the West.

    see link below.

I wish it would end & our lads can come home.

    I WISH!

  14. Yes - that's why the USA has left it to us!

    They remember Vietnam...nuff said!

No one will ever beat the Afghans on their own soil with the type of warfare/tactics they use! (No one has for over 1000 years)

Bring our boys home now (and on the way out spray the poppy fields with a few 100 tonnes of weedkiller)

  15. yes, they never give up, never learn a thing either.

  16. the British, lol  when was the last time you won a war period,  there would be no USA if you won that war,  and you would be part of Germany if it wasn't for the USA,  LMAO

  17. The only person ever to defeat the Afghans was Alexander - but then he had an Army of Greeks who thought nothing of killing everyone in sight including the entire populations of villages, towns and cities.

    Alexander

    How?

This video-clip gives you some idea of Classical Greek weaponry and how it was used and how the Greeks could get on top of and destroy any enemy - except perhaps Rome.

What we need is a bit more of this. . . .

  18. Yes, there is no way to win a war like that in ANY country. The reason we are there I think, is because the Yanks have got some sort of strangle hold on British politicians, Anthony Blair in particular, and made him take Britain into Afghanistan AND Iraq.  When I heard Tony Blair trying to convince us with the "45 minutes" speech -  I knew.  A man so desperate to get us to war he would say anything. Not for the country's good, not to help Iraqi's or Afghans but to save himself from something.

The Yanks can't fight anyway - they only try to conquer in 6 weeks. If not, they go home and sulk; then make films about how heroic and noble they are, and if they could make a film about Saddam and cast an Englishman in the lead role- they would!  Clive H is right.  the only way to defeat a people like that is to wipe them from the face of the earth - or leave them alone.
