The Big 3:

PG. Mo Williams - 2 me is just as good or better than Billups. Its just Billups is on a better team. Remember when the Bucks played the Pistons in the playoffs Mo won the matchup but the Bucks did lose.

SG. Michael Redd - The 2nd best pure shooter in the NBA next to Ray Allen. He is under looked playing for a losing team for so many years.

SF. Richard Jefferson - All-star calibur talent, can defend, athletic has playoff/finals experience

The Rest:

PF. Charlie Villanueva - He is versatile did score 440 points in a game this year 2

C. Andrew Bogut - I would place as the 3rd best center in the East next to Howard and Jermaine O'Neal

The Bench:

Charlie Bell - Almost one 6th man a couple years back is still a good player.

Joe Alexander - Will be a good player

Desmond Mason - Can D up and is aa high-flyer type

Ramon Sessions - Showed alot of promise in rookie season

Tyron Lue - Vet leader can hit the 3

Malik Allen - Has an outside shot for a big man

Michael Ruffin - Not much but a body that they can use for 6 fouls

Coach: Scot Skiles - Good Coach

  1. They will definitely be better than last year.  I think picking up Lue was underrated.  You don't want him as your starter, but he can give you solid minutes off the bench and even fill in off and on as starter in injury situations.  Redd is a great shooter (I think at this point he is better than the cadaver formerly known as Ray Allen), but he is not much of a defender.  I am also a fan of Bell's game as he does a little of everything and Sessions has potential to be really good, but I wonder if he would be better on a team where he got more time.

In the front court, I am a fan of Bogut, but otherwise they are thin at center.  Jefferson was a steal of a trade and they lucked into Villanueva in the draft.  Alexander was horrible in summer league, but hopefully he'll bring it together.  He's really rough and needs a lot of skill development.  Mason is a guy who I always thought should have been better.  He never developed his jump shot and as he gets older his athleticism decreases.  He can still play pretty good d though.

As long as they stay healthy and don't get totally abused at center, I think they could be in the bottom half of the playoffs.  Maybe 6th, but likely 7th or 8th.  I think they need one more pickup for a backup bigman and they could be even better. Malik Allen is a career benchwarmer, and I think on a different team that Gadzuric could be decent.  They just won't cut it on this squad.

  2. doesn't sound like it when was the last time they went to the playoffs.they have good players and that sessions dude he's going to be the next nash.

  3. I have them penciled in for a playoff spots.  The team have kinda flew under the radar this offeseason.  All focus is on the Phills, but the BUcks will make the playoffs in my opinion.  Now they got two excellente scorers, a good point guard and a solid center.

I really wanna see Charlie Villanuueva sprout next year.  I kinda also wanan see more of ramon Sessions.  Didnt this kid get like 18 dimes near the end of last year?

  4. no i doubt they will even make the playoffs

  5. DUDE YOUR BUCKS ARE GOOD LINE UP,

    SIMILAR TO CLIPPERS...

    SO SEE IN FINALS LOL

  6. I actually agree with your assessment for the most part.  Mo is definitely underrated imo.

You forgot to mention Gadzuric.  Great athleticism and runs the floor like a guard even though he's a center.  Very good shot blocker too.

What I don't agree with is your opinion of Scott Skiles.  Jason Kidd refers to him as a backstabber.  He loses respect and control of his players through his "attitude".  He quit as the Phoenix coach after only a few weeks of coaching Stephon Marbury, and had problems in Chicago with Eddy Curry, Jamal Crawford and Tyrus Thomas.  And let's not forget the many feuds between him and Ben Wallace.  I was totally surprised the Bucks hired him.  He may be the downfall of the team...

  7. o h**l no igga i cant beleev u said dat u shud start sayin CELTICS REPEAT BOIII

  8. Nope, the Bucks are still gonna suck

  9. I would say Bucks are revamping the roster into a pragmatic unit with Michael Redd, Richard Jefferson and Andrew Bogut as cornerstones.

However, continuous rumours on shopping Mo Williams suggests that the management is far more happy on his performance - be frank, I can see some Starbury in Mo - a score-first and ball-dominant PG who posts impressive stats but questionable as a true winner.

Charlie Villaneuva is another project Bucks are pondering to give or go - he looks like a lazier version of Keith Van Horn and an average rebounder in his size, and he enjoys what John Wallace has been doing for years (scoring, but with the presence of Redd and Mo he should himself not getting enough shots). This reason is especially crucial for Charlie to prove whether he can really PF in NBA, and so far I am cautious on that.

Speaking of big men, Dan Gadzuric is quite a disappointment and Bucks should be blamed for offering him a long-term contract - he is a so-called defensive specialist but his defense has never been spectecular, which is the reason why many expect Francisco Elson will eventually be signed to backup Bogut (and the addition of Malik Allen is a good indication). Michael Ruffin will never disappoint you on his defensive intensity and rebounding but again, he is just a typical above average role player. Jake Voskuhl is still in the roster, but I would rather keep the lower salary on Jake than Gadzuric.

We all know what Tyronn Lue, Charlie Bell and Desmond Mason can offer to a team, while Ramon Sessions needs to polishes his jumpers. Joe Alexander should at least be a better Brian Cardinal and I believe he is ready to contribute now.

After all, it is not too surprising to see Bucks back to playoff next season, but don't expect much at the time being.
