Question:

Are the California fires causing birds to migrate to unusual places? I live in Colorado and have a FEW?

I live in CO and we have an overabundance of Humming Birds this year..one kind in particular is an Allens Hummmingbird I Believe? This lil guy defitatly is not a normal sighting in the summer here? Could the fires be causing these lil West costal Hummers be 'lost' or Re-locate??? Thanks ~D~

  1. That's an excellent observation.  The wildfires have destroyed the natural habitat of many animal species, and I wouldn't be surprised if the hummingbirds needed to relocate.  The only problem is that they won't necessarily be properly equipt to survive outside of their natural environment.
