  1. Just Mexico, Canada and the United States of America

  2. It depends on which mapmaker you talk to. Some people include central america in north america and divide the caribbean islands between north and south america. Others give central america and the caribbean a separate listing as a region in it's own right, and others give central america and the caribbean two separate individual listings.

  3. in school they taught us that only mexico usa and canada are the north america

  4. Yes they are all included into North America.

  5. I've always thought that the Caribbean was considered as islands. Hense "The Caribbean Islands". The word "CENTRAL" means just that not north or south it's in the middle of South America & North America.  It couldn't be more simple than that....

  6. Geographically 'Yes'.

  7. Yes it is. "Why?" you might ask - well because it is on the North American Continent - which is one of the seven major continents on our planet. The continents are as follows: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia.

  8. Yes, they are.

  9. The term North America may mean different things to different people in the world according to the context. Usage other than that of the entire continent includes:

    * In English, North America is generally used to refer to the United States, Canada and Mexico. (As in the North American Free Trade Agreement). Alternatively, usage may refer only to the USA and Canada.

    * In Latin America, Spain, and some other parts of Europe, "North America" usually designates a subcontinent of the Americas containing Canada, the United States, Mexico, and often Greenland, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, and Bermuda

    * Geologically, Central America is sometimes included as part of North America, up to the border between Colombia and Panama.

The Caribbean is sometimes considered part of North America, but this definition is not used too much.
