Are the Chinese rigging the Olympics this year?

I don't pay attention to every detail, but has anyone else noticed that sports that the Chinese are NOT typically the all around best in, they've been getting gold after gold in? And that their gymnast is still losing baby teeth? Or perhaps the judging in a few of the competitions was much too close for comfort and possibly manipulated?

Random thought, now lets see what your thoughts are.

  1. Well their Diver might not agree with you.  He just lost a 30 point lead in 1 dive.  That's not right.

  2. the Olympics are just about history.

    Deal with the results.

All of the countries that won had awesome athletes includng China. and those that didn't win were awesome also.

    for gods sake Move on

  3. American are sore losers!

  4. I bet you are american, and the reason you hear that over and over again is because this is probably the first time America no longer the top on the gold medal tally, so the media will go on and on about it at least for another month...( I am Australian, and we don't see that as a big deal as we focused on what we do best in)

But if you do pay a bit more attention and do spend some time watching the games instead of the rubbish media stories... China has simply adopt a successful stragety, that is to consolidate their strong sports (such as diving, gymnastics and table tennis ) which they didnt lose any by mistakes etc... and they use the advantage of being the host nation and let the guys and girls prove themselves on sports they were not well known off and this time they automatically get qualified for as being the host. and they did it beautifully ( look at women hockey they beat the defending champion Germany, and also beach volleyball, rowing, weightlifting, archery, judo etc )

And again if you look carefully, it is not just China who climb up on the medal tally, Britain did so well too.. because they also start preparing years ago since they knew 2012 they will have the home advantage.

On the other hand, the good old USA is not doing so well on track and field which used to contribute a lot of gold medals in previous Olympics Games...the medals on sprints almost all gone to Jaimaca.

Sports is a serious business, if you don't improve and make yourself better, others will take over you... countries who improved on their funding and training and study about their opponents will get the edge and countries who is too comfortable on their high heels will fall.

This is just the trend going to be... it is not some so called underage girls controversy nor  the way medal tally counting order can change that...

  5. Deng LinLin is 16...according to the hacker who found that He Kexin is 14. None of the girls has a tooth missing except for Deng.

It's called improving. Swimming: Australian coach. Beach Volleyball: American coach.

I think you are delusional and the Ashlee as well.

  6. I think you need to get over the fact that China is doing better than any other country competing at the Olympics.

Making childish statements about the Chinese gymnasts is really quite pathetic when they won fair and square!

Throwing out false accusations with no evidence to back it up just comes across as being sour grapes.

    Seriously, move on.

  7. its what the Chinese are good at. LIE CHEAT FRAUD BRIBERY its in there culture

  8. agree

  9. At this Olympics, a lot of other countries' athletes have been making mistakes at finals. Chinese, in addition to skill, have always been known for stability, so it's not a surprise that they won so many gold medals this year.

And why do you keep bringing the gymnast issue, it's not like the Chinese won a lot of gold medals in female gymnastics. I really think you need to get your eyes checked if you think the gymnasts are losing baby teeth. By the way, who are you to judge what the Chinese should or should not be good at. For all I know, the Chinese have been trying to foster athletes in other sports too since the last few Olympics, so their hard work has paid off.

  10. is the person asking the question American by any chance???!!

  11. An economics professor created a model which predicts how many medals a country will win based the economy of that country. Which country wins the most medals has nothing to do with athletic performance. The better that the economy of the country of origin is,  the better training that the athletes from that country will receive. Which obviously will have a direct impact on their performance. Another important factor is how well the country performed in the previous year. In 2004 China won 32 gold medals and 63 total. According to economics professor Andrew B. Bernard they were predicted to win 37 gold medals and 81 total higher due to the home country advantage and the recent growth in their economy. This year China wins 51 gold medals and 100  medals total. Thats nearly double what they won 4 years ago and roughly one and a half times more than what they were predicted to win. Up till this point the economics model has had a 96% accuracy rate. It could be that with china's recent bloom in economy that they've spend a lot of money in preparation for the Olympics, more than what was taken into account for, but at the same time I can't help but suspect something. I will admit though that me being American and     a little sore about the fact that because their country is consuming more oil that our gas prices have gone up so high to the point it disrupts our very way of life, that yeah I am biased. I don't know what, but something is up.

ps, please check my sources its a lot of good information.

  12. I don't know but allmost all of the medals they have are in sports that are judged and I don't trust the judges I think they have made up their minds who is going to win before they even start. Its enough to make me gag listening to the commentators going on and on about how great the chinese gymnists are and then see them make all the balance checks and falls and still manage to get better scores than there counter parts. Not to mention they look like they are 7 years old.

  13. Like what, rowing?  Sailing?  Maybe they hired a shaman to change the winds at will, so they can sail faster when they're ahead?  Female gymnastics is the only event under suspicion and the IOC are looking into it.  And they've just lost a gold medal in Diving after the judges gave them a very low score in the last dive, in which they lost a 30+ point lead.  But it was part of the plan to throw us off their trail, right?

  14. Yeah and U.S.A rigged the 96 Atlanta Olympics...

  15. Not another one.. you are really boring ppl with such questions. Please ask something else.

  16. Seriously, accept the fact that there are other nations out there who have earned more gold medals than you. You can't always be on top, america.

The chinese have always been athletic. They've always done well at the games. It's not just like, they came out of the blue winning the most medals. Those athletes work and train as hard as anyone.
