Are the Death Gate books any good? Whats the storyline?

Don't worry about spoiling it for me I enjoy spoilers it kills me not knowing :P

I enjoyed them after the core Dragonlance Chronicles.  Weis and Hickman's later series didn't reach the quality of the Chronicles and Time of the Twins; but the Deathgate Cycle definitely came up to standard.

Very briefly, the seven books tell of different worlds; there's a world of Fire, Stone, Water, Air, and they're all connected.  In the end, the worlds become aligned again.  

My favourites were the world of Pryan and the world of Abarrach.
