Are the Democrats DESPERATE? Why are they attacking a 17 year old?

I do not have a problem with Palin's daughter being pregnant. At least she decided to be responsible and have the baby. The Palin family seems to be a loving, supportive family. A lot of families are affected by teenage pregnancies. In fact, I think I like her better than McCain or Obsama. I believe the Democrats are desperate to attack a 17 year old. I don't think it has been an issue that Obsama's mother was pregnant with him at 18 (and his Father had a wife and 2 kids back in Kenya). I mean shouldn't that be an issue also. Both have nothing to do with the Presidency or VP. If we are going to condemn let's condemn Obsama for having the nerve to be born to a teenage unmarried Mother. I bet most of the Obsama supporters didn't know that because most are voting the way the media tells them and have no idea what he stands for or what he is about. That's not surprising though because neither does Obsama. Yes, I think Palin will be a great asset as a VP. I think it was a great move by McCain. There is no way that Palin didn't tell him that her daughter was pregnant. Also, desperate Democrats are saying that Palin has no experience. That is a laugh. Obsama has NO experience and would run the country. His VP running mate is as old as the hills, so he has as much chance of kicking the bucket as McCain. I would trust Palin to run the country more than Obsama if the old guy died. She seems 100% American. She has a record as a governor....actually running a state. What does Obsama have? ALL TALK!!! No record to show. Plus, I bet she faces the flag and puts her hand over her heart when she says the pledge!! ;) I wish SHE was running for President......McCAIN/PALIN 08

  1. This issue has nothing to do with how Palin would lead.  I am very excited about the McCain/Palin ticket.

  2. I don't think the Democrats are attacking Palin's daughter, Sen. Obama comment was simple - Candidates families are off limits! As usual it's the media jumping on the bandwagon doing what they do best.....misleading the public!

  3. It's all over the news that Obama has told the media to back off. If you think that all the media is controlled by Obama's campaign then I don't know what to tell you. People can be really petty, whether they are Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or Green. And this story is like throwing a big juicy steak to a pack of hungry dogs (corporate media). I consider myself an Independent who is registered Democrat this time and I think all the attention about this is sick, sad and sleazy and it makes the whole country look bad. It should be her family's business. But you can't seriously say that it doesn't expose the irony of supporting abstinence-only s*x ed and the issues of responsible parenting versus political career. It also undermines the myth of Republicans as the only ones with family values and morality.

  4. Democrats are not attacking anyone. Did you not hear what Obama had to say? He said to not get involved with peoples' private lives. I hope Obama wins so we can return to a more humane world.

  5. People will look for anything or way to run the outher person down to make themselfs look better and this is wrong.

I am a Democrat but since Palin came on the scene i see there may be hope indeed for the American people. With Palin we have someone with common sence that can relate to the poor and middel class people who are going through simular prolems durring their day to day liveing.

My 17 year old GranDaughter just had a baby this past July and i am proud that my Wife and i are GreatGrand Parents. We know just how tough things can get and the kind of help and support these kids will need and so does Palin.

No one else in the running can even relate to common sence problems,it's not all about war and tax dollars .

  6. If Mrs Palin could not control her daughter when it comes to responsible s*x - then how in the world will she be able to control the other Republicans who are g*y?

    Evidently - she won't!

    Lo Siento!

  7. I could change the names around in your paragraph to show Republicans attacking Democrats and it would hold true also.

Both sides attack both sides. It's not fair but it's best to just ignore it instead of working yourself up over it.

  8. the attack is against the mom, who brought forth the news, not the child.  it was sara palin who made public her daughter's pregnancy!!! she did this to deflect questioning about issues in regard to the recent birth of trig, presumably her fifth child.  there are a number of troubling issues about her judgement in this regard.  at minimum, if you simply look at the story as confirmed by palin herself, her maternal instincts and judgment are questionable.  when more than 8 months pregnant with her fifth child, who she knew because of in utero testing was downs syndrome, she made a flight from alaska to tx to give a speech at a governor's convention.  while in texas, her water broke.  she got on a flight (a few hours, i'd guess) back to alaska.  once landed in alaska, she drove past 2 well respected hospitals with reportedly excellent facilities to deliver and care for special needs children to finally arrive at the hospital she chose.  while it is natural for a woman to want her regular doc to deliver her child, palin's doc had no experience in this area.  yet she drove past facilities with superior care!?! while in labor.  i am told a woman with 4 prior pregnancies is more likely to deliver quickly.  why did she put this baby at risk in these ways???  why does a 8 month pregnant woman who knows she is carrying an at-risk baby take such a long flight to give a speech in the first place?  why would she risk the baby by not seeking medical care at the closest facility when she went into labor?  the hospital where she allegedly delivered the baby has no record of the baby's birth.  the doc who delivered the baby is not on staff at that hospital where she delivered, although palin had a prior relationship with the woman and recommended her as doc of the year previously for her work with pregnant teenagers.  at minimum one has to question palin's judgment in this regard even with facts as she states them. folks question this story because they find it incredible she would act in this way, because no one was aware she was pregnant when she announced she was at an alleged 71/2 months still looking unpregers, and because of several other inconsistencies.  additionally, bristol had been absent from school (reportedly due to mono) for 5 months of the school year.  so palin tells the public that bristol is 5 months pregnant now to show it was not true she delivered trig 4-5 months ago.  so mom put daughter square in the middle of things when she should have just kept her mouth shut and let the gossip die its inevitable death. good judgment?  good maternal instincts? whatever the truth, i don't know and don't care. i feel very sorry for bristol.  if her mom knew her situation, why did she thrust herself and her family into the eye of the storm by accepting the vice-presidential nomination? wouldn't a good mom sacrifice her own ambitions to protect and keep her unmarried pregnant teenage daughter away from public scrutiny?

  9. I'm english and haven't listened/watched all of what's gone on but can i say thankyou for saying what i've been thinking x

  10. If you want to be taken seriously try spelling his name correctly. And for your information I do not need the media to tell me how to vote or who to support. From your rant it looks like you believe everything the media says.

  11. "Media spin"they are getting way out of hand, we wonder sometimes if we have news programs or daily sitcom's and personality's .By the way how are you able to have so many words in your question?

  12. Ok, first, his name is OBAMA.  And OBAMA specifically made a comment about hands off of the family and children.

And this line right here: "At least she decided to be responsible and have the baby." is a bit of an oxymoron - if she were responsible, she would have used birthcontrol, don't ya think?

  13. she is a slitty S****y SLAG!

  14. John McCain's shows lack of concern for the welfare of the country.  The person who serves as VP is one heart beat away from the White House.  There are more qualified women of the GOP in the House and Senate.  How do they feel?

As to Democrats making an issue of this affair one needs to again blame McCain picking a person of limited leadership and only meeting her on on or two occasions.

I can bet if this was affair of the Clinton daughter.  The far right media would have Rush, Bill and Ann on TV 24/7.

To party of "family values" what goes around comes around.

  15. It's politics darlin. In the U.S. politics the rules are simple, and Machiavellian. But the bottom line is ... "Win". Too many will go to great lengths to win, and they will tear a strip off the opponents if they think they can get away with it. A politician will tell the constituents what they want to hear, not what the truth is but what they want to hear. If the truth is part of what the public wants to hear then that's just a bonus, but for the most part it's a big game you have to win.

Attacking the opponent is just part of the parcel.

  16. Obama said if he caught anyone working for him doing this will be fired immediately.  it's not the Democrats, it's the media.  and what did Palin expect to happen,  personally i think she has way to much to deal with in her family life to be running for Vice President.  also if McCain died, the country would be left to her and she has less experience than Obama,  i really don't understand the choice, i think McCain is handing the election to Obama with out a fight

  17. Barack Obama said his mother had him at 18 and struggled to take care of him and so does not share the view that the girl should be crucified, and the issue be used as a campaign material.

Any body using this issue to rubbish the republicans is carrying out his own agenda.

  18. The issue is that Sarah Palin endorses abstinence only s*x education in schools, but her own daughter is proof of how bady that fails kids.  People aren't so much attacking the girl as attacking her mother's decisions and policies.

  19. Seem like morals within the palin household has dropped 100% since she became VP with that said, a daughter of 17 should have been more chapperoned and used protection. Shame on Miss Palin and before you know it the whole country will think it's ok to get pregnant at 17. Oh! the humanity.
