I know that the monorail system is free once you enter the parks, just curious if they are linked from magic kingdom to say, animal kingdom for example or whatnot.

  1. Well it matters what parks you are visiting. Although Magic Kingdom is located in the largest lake which can get to the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, and Contemporary. Now Animal Kingdom is closer to the Downtown Disney and Boardwalk area. While MGM is closer to the Yacht Club.

    Magic Kingdom Area

    -Polynesia (Bus/Monorail/Boat)

    -Contemporary (Bus/Monorail/Boat)

    -Wilderness Lodge (Bus/Boat)

    -Grand Floridian (Bus Monorail/Boat)

    MGM Studios

-All Resorts are Boat and Bus

    Epcot

All Resorts are Bus and Boat

  2. the monorail has 2 line one that goes from the ticket and transportaition center to magic kingdom and the 3 resorts the polynesian, the grand floridian, and the contemporary.

and the other line goes from the ticket and transportation center to epcot.

there are buses that go to the other 2 parks from the ticket and transportation center.

and you can walk from epcot to hollywood studios if you'd like.

also if you are staying on disney property you can get a bus from your hotel to anywhere in disney world. and seaworld and universal send buses to all of the disney hotels and you can ride those for a small fee. all of the disney transportation is free of charge.

  3. Yes. Magic Kingdom and Epcot are linked by monorail. You can also take a monorail from MK or Epcot to the TTC where you can take a bus to anywhere else in the World. Also, you can board buses from any one park to the other.

  4. I didn't stay on location, we drove in but it looks to be linked.

  5. i am pretty sure the monarail is linking magic kingdom and animal kingdom,   but i know they have buses linking to everywhere but i dont think boat because it is no built acroose from eachother with a river in between,  you can take boats out on lakes by the contemporary hotel and i think they have rides but not like to get you from one park to the other

  6. you can get from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot via Monorail.  Otherwise you will have to take a Disney bus.  The boats only go from the Wilderness Lodge, Wilderness Campground, and I think to the Ticket and Transportation Center.

All Disney transportation is free to Disney guests.  Have fun, and if you have other questions feel free to e-mail.

Edit: the boats also go to the Contemporary.  They do not go to the Polynesian or Grand Floridian.

  7. The monorail links Magic kingdom and Epcot, but there are buses to all parks, water parks, downtown disney and all resorts for free

  8. As stated the monorail connects to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Contemporary, Poly, Grand Floridian and Ticket and transportation center.  You can get anywhere from the ticket and transportation center.  If you visit the boardwalk or have a car that is a nice spot to park the car as it gets you almost anywhere.  From the yacht and beach club or boardwalk there are boats to EPCOT and MGM and you can cut through EPCOT and jump on the monorail to MAGIC KINGDOM.  Just some extra info to get around.
