Are the Dockers chokers or are they just having a run of bad luck?

Round 6: 25pts up against Geelong at 3/4 time & lost by 1 point.

Round 7: 51 pts up against Melbourne in the 3rd quarter & lost by 6 points.

Round 8: 18 pts up against Bulldogs 12 mins into final term & lost by 3 points.

I think its a twist of an inability to finish teams off mentally with a dash of lack of fitness..

The only luck in this game is if the umpires have yr teams coloured glasses on.. heh..

Who knows ............ they promise so much on paper .... then deliver for 3 Q's  put get outplayed or overrun in the last.

I guess it's true what they say ........... You have to play for all 4Q's

I think that they are just not fit enough to fun out a full game.

also, they have to travel every second week to a different state and back, so this would tire them out which may contribute to their fatigue late in the game.

i think it's probably just bad luck... they're the worst '4th quarter' team, and i think the other teams are going into the 4th quarter knowing that.

it might be fitness related, or fatigue issues... but they're definatley not chokers. give them a break.. as you've said, they only lost by 1, 6, 3.... could of been a lot worse!!

plenty of sides can play good footy for a half or 3 quarters, like my golf, good for 14 out of the 18 holes but just not switched on enough to finish it off, that's how freo play, they can't finish off their earlier good work, we are much the same.

Chokers? Well....I put it down to mental 'weakness'...the right stuff is just not there. Their list whilst been the oldest in the league is quite a good one, barring rubbish like McManus (to be fair he tries hard), Farmer and Tarrant. Its Harvey's first season in charge and a few good youngsters have been given their chance. They have a period of about twenty minutes in a game where they just loose the plot and thats what kills them.

Its got nothing to do with travel. Every team travels interstate (except Collingwood) and feels the same effects.

Still, thats three wins gone screaming down the drain. They could be sitting quite nicely as about now.

A very bad string of bad luck i think. I find it quite weird coz every team is made up of dogs, lions, cats, tigers, etc and yet we are anchors so all we ever do is sink. I seriously hope we get a win to Carlton this week or we're better off saying goodbye to this season!
