Are the FUZE drinks not as good for you as they seem? ?

I know they low cals and low carbs, but the only real sufficient vitamin is vitamin C, which is usually not lacking in a normal diet. Does the claimed "L-Carnitine and Super Citrimax do anything worth the $2 a bottle?

  1. FUZE is mostly hype.  There is no conclusive evidence that increasing the amount of Carnitine will increase the rate or amounts of fatty acids that can be converted into energy by the cell.  So simply, the Carnatine isn't doing anything for you.

FUZE also has chromium, which is supposed to help you burn glucose (sugar.)  A study done by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, research indicated that chromium provides NO BENEFIT at all to healthy individuals.  I assume you're pretty healthy.

True, FUZE does not have high fructose corn syrup (like almost every soft drink & energy drink out there.)  If you see HFCS on a label, just think, "pure concentrated sugar."

Iced tea is low cal & low carbs (as long as you don't add sugar!) And since FUZE has Splenda in it, you can add Splenda to your iced tea.  Splenda is a relatively safe low-cal sweetener and the only one I'll use.

So, no.  FUZE is a waste of money and you can find better stuff cheaper.
