I am 15 and have been playing electric guitar for about 2 or 3 months (without a teacher) on a rubbish guitar from (don't laugh) ASDA and i now know that i am definately dedicated so i wan't to get a Les Paul. When i first started looking they all seemed to be about £1000 but i looked in the argos catalouge and theres one for £199.99 (i think) but is it (or the other ones in there) actually real? Because it is such a cheap price!

  1. are you sure it says les paul on them or epiphone?

if i were you i would learn from an acoustic guitar and when you are ready for electric buy a squire strat.

  2. If its a genuine les paul then its a good guitar.  I would take Radstars advice though, go to a shop and try a few out first.

  3. I bought an Epiphone Les Paul Standard copy from Reidy's music in U.K..........Brilliant £280. plus delivery. Great tone.

  4. Its NOT a gibson.  Call the catalog company and get the brand info if they do not have it listed.

  5. Go to a guitar shop dude!

You need to try it before you buy it!

No one will take the p**s - everyone has to learn!

    Edit - I've checked on line - they are now £149.99 - Maestro (a gibson subsiduary)http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/pa...

    - Y'know...I'd still go to a shop...

but I may take a punt on the one in Argos being ok!

  6. watch what you buy from argos , some of the makes are shite no offence !

but you can get some good deals , don't have much experience with guitars but i hope this helped a little :-)

  7. Its an 'epiphone' Gibson Clone,  a proper Les Paul is the thicker end of £600 and then some for signature or custom models
