Now that Bret F left the team, I think they have nothing left. Anyone else with comments?

  1. They aren't overrated, Farve is overrated. Get him out of here! He's the King of interceptions. And he's not even close to the top ten quarterbacks of all time.

  2. No the Packers are not overrated.  They have a top-tier defense and a great receiving core.  They don't have to many superstars like the cowboys but they play well as a team and have a good playbook.  Plus if Aaron Rodgers can stay healthy he looked pretty poised and calm in the pocket against the Bengals, which will take pressure of Grant to be as good as he was last year.

  3. how are they overrated?  many people are wishy washy on the Packers.  they are thought to be good, but not dominant like last season.  overrated means they are not as good as advertised.  it is to my understanding that everyone questions the QB position, which leads many to question who will win the division.  so to answer your question, no they are not overrated. they are right where they should be.  a solid team with the question mark of the QB position, even though Aaron Rodgers performed brilliantly in the first preseason game.  however, that is a practice game.

  4. You have that backward,Brett Favre had a good year because the Packers were a good team, the success of last year was because the defense did their part in stopping other teams from scoring, thus letting Brett Favre win games with the offense

  5. Packer fans seem to overreact when they see on person say "The vikings will win the division" I mean you could put a thousand Packer supporters around one Vikings supporter and they still consider The Vikings overrated (There are more people that think the Packers will win the divsion than people who think the Vikings will so fricken calm down Packer fan base) The Packers won't be bad but they won't be great they'll be above average and contend for the 5th spot IMO

  6. I couldn't disagree more.

The packers will still win 9 or 10 games in a weak division.

Rodgers will do fine as the starter. He is surrounded by a lot of young talent and the defense is solid as well.

If you want to talk about overrated, then let's talk about the cowboys

  7. You mean Favre They'll be worse then last year but Not a bad Team That's right the Packers with Aaron Rodgers can Still Contend for the NFC North and Maybe the Super Bowl If they are lucky, realistically they'll be 10-6 Record-wise Maybe a Wild Card Team If things do go their way.

  8. nope they are going to be good maybe 9-7 or 8-8

  9. Every year.

  10. No i think they will make the playoffs with a record of 10-6 or 11-5

  11. I think they'll be .500 at best. I think the whole Brett Favre thing will come back to haunt the organization.

  12. I think they are under rated. the OLD GUY, wasn't winning all of those games by Himself.

  13. overrated? how can they be overrated if they are expected to suck ballz this year??? 8-8 miss playoffs

  14. I think they'll manage ... it might be a bit more difficult ... but they can still do it !!

  15. They've got a great team, actually.

They have a stud defense, with good linebackers, a great leader in Nick Barnett, and a solid defensive line.  Their backfield is also quite talented, with two lockdown corners and a few safeties who get the job done.

Their offensive line has some trouble in the interior, but Green Bay always has a good offensive line, so I wouldn't worry about that.  They have about 15 good receivers, it seems.  They also have a group of running backs, with Ryan Grant, Brandon Jackson, DeShawn Wynn, and even Vernand Morency who are very capable of playing well.

The only real question with them is at quarterback, but its not like Aaron Rodgers is some shmuck they picked up off the street.  He's a first round draft pick, and really he was pretty much a coin flip away from being the number 1 pick that year.  He's the only question, but I think all signs point to him performing well, and leading this team to the playoffs, at least.

  16. No they suck pig benis.

  17. If you think Brett was carrying them you were wrong.Brett always got more credit then he deserved for the great teams around him.His last 7 games he threw 11 TDs and 9 INT for a 4-3 record. The games against the Bears and the Giants realley showed Bretts age in both games he was just out of gas at the  end of the game.I think this year your going to see what age does to a NFL player.Brett was playing on a very good team last year.Look at the previous 2 seasons and you will see Brett was on a decline.Last year he caught lighting in a bottle and was able to have a great season. My prediction is that the Packers will make the playoffs with Rodgers or Brohm. How far they go I don't see them going to the NFC championship game again. But who knows that is why they paly the games.

  18. they are a play off team

  19. they sold out the soul of their team, they are doomed!
